okay, I am very behind on news, so here is some stuff starting with the most recent. Look! I was selected to be in the Best American Nonrequired Reading 2005 anthology. It's edited by Dave Eggers and there's an introduction by Beck. It also has a comic by Anders Nilsen. There are stories by amazing authors like George Saunders. It is a fantastic book and should be available any day now. Run out and buy it from your local independent bookstore. New Book! I have collected the first 16 Thingparts in to one little book. It's the perfect gift for friends who fear the internet. Check it. Josh Frankel, Jesse Reklaw, Brian Kaas and I squared off one afternoon in the deserted upstairs of a local bar to find out who could draw the best comics in five minutes or less on topics chosen at random. It was a brutal bloodbath. Four cartoonists entered and in the end only four cartoonists remained. Cover by Josh Frankel Witness the carnage (if you can stomach it).

New Book! Do you ever wish that you had superpowers? Well, you never will. But you can read about some people more fortunate than you. Check it out. New Comic Project Thingy! A set of five postcards that fit together to form one zany comic strip. Mail them to your children from prison! Look upon it. This time I'm gonna try for real. I've turned over a new leaf. Thingpart will almost certainly be updated on a weekly basis. Wednesdays. Why not. Don't hesitate to let me know that you care.

Here are three news! Coming very soon is Thingpart! A weekly comic strip that will be updated...oh, say every Wednesday or something. There is a new 5-minute book. It's an anthology of your nine favorite Bay Area cartoonists being as offensive as all get-out. It's called The New Children's Illustrated Encyclopedia and it is not at all for kids. It's not yet available here, but or you can check it out at Global Hobo Distro. The website has been redesigned and streamlined. I hope it is more fun.
